Red Cross

The Australian Red Cross (ARC) is part of the world’s largest humanitarian organisation, founded in Australian in 1914 nine days after the outbreak of the First World War. As an organisation independent of the government and with no political, religious or cultural affiliations, their aim is to improve people’s lives and build their resilience - no matter who they are or where they live.

The Australian Red Cross has a property portfolio of approximately 350 properties around Australia in both urban and rural locations.

Programmed FM’s National Service Centre ensures that the team of subcontractors respond to each issue based on the priority rating that has been allocated after consultation with ARC staff. Our services include:

  • Contract management: Maintaining a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and providing a report of services requested and allocated
  • Asset management: Providing reactive and planned facilities maintenance, project services (including upgrades and refits), asset collection and condition audits of existing FM assets
  • Financial management & reporting: Consolidating supplier invoices to present a monthly invoice with verification of all works completed
  • Operations and maintenance (including the help desk): Following up each job to completion within the specified time frames, site attendance process including inductions, job verification and sign off

Value Add & Innovation

Advising on the correct type of asset replacement allows ARC to concentrate on core activities rather than FM issues

Programmed FM’s Advisory Team conducted the following at approximately 350 ARC sites around Australia:

  • Asbestos and hazardous materials audit across all sites
  • Property risk audit of ARC sites, with the focus of the risk assessment to cover both the potential risk to ARC staff on-site and the potential risk to ARC buildings themselves

The audits were conducted over a period of 3 - 4 months and a fully compliant asbestos management plan and evacuation plan provided.
